What Can You Do With an Automotive Technology Certificate?

A certificate in automotive technology opens doors to careers that never get boring or stagnant. Graduates of CMC go on to work as:

  • Auto specialty technician
  • Auto mechanic
  • Service technician
  • Diagnostic technician
  • Service writers
  • Diagnostic technician
  • Service technician

Develop the Fundamentals to Go Far

With an automotive technology certificate, you’re set up to start work at a shop almost immediately. You’ll learn all the fundamentals from the skillful instructors at CMC, including a few specialties like performance and hybrid engines. The goal is to help you develop your skills to get you started and teach you how to improve them as you work. From there, you can find your specialties and passion with confidence.

An Eye for the Detail

One of the great things about auto tech is that the work is both complex and simple. An engine is a complicated machine with a lot of moving parts, but when you learn the fundamentals, you understand how everything works together in a seamless system. At CMC, you’ll train your eye (and ear) so well that you’ll be able to pop a hood and diagnose an engine with ease.
