Mojave Month – September 14-October 13

Mojave Month is a monthlong celebration of  our desert home, with a variety of events for the public to enjoy, from live music to film screenings, California’s Poet Laureate to historical presentations.

CMC’s Community Education program features a diverse selection of classes taught by qualified instructors from our own community!  This fall, you can take anything and everything from AI Art toYoga; filmmaking to dancing and singing; as well as self care, breathwork, knowing your own body’s health, writing, CADD, small business technology, building resiliency, tarot card reading, and desert history.  Click on the link for the full roster of classes.

Howlin’ at the Mountain 2 – Dance under desert stars with Orquesta Mamboson

CMC’s popular Howlin’ at the Mountain concert series returns with Hunter and the Wick’d and Orquesta Mamboson to launch Mojave Month at the college.  Bring a blanket or chairs, no outside food or drink please.  Admission is free.  Jorge’s Cafe will be offering their Fiesta Feast and the CMC Foundation is hosting their Margarita Garden.  Come early for the Mojave Resource Fair and Mojave Makers Market, as well as a live recording of the 90 Miles from Needles podcast and HOWLin’ at the Mountain – a literary event with author readings and a literary open mic.  For more information, click on the link.
