Copper Mountain College’s Nursing Students partnered with CMC Foundation to host “Have a Heart” fundraiser to benefit CMC’s VN/RN students. Proceeds from this February 10, 2024 Reverse Raffle will help ease some of the financial burden associated with their program including NCLEX test prep, uniforms, background checks and their pinning ceremony.
With over 300 tickets sold, the competition was fierce at the 2nd Annual Have a Heart fundraiser at Copper Mountain College for their nursing students. Over $8600 was raised to benefit the nursing students at Copper Mountain College.
Dinner was sponsored by Let’s Feast Premium Catering and Buffet.
According to Let’s Feast owner and CMC alumna Renee Anderson, “It is a thrill to be here tonight serving our nursing students. I can see their deep desire to be the best nurses they can be and the Foundation (Copper Mountain College Foundation) really helps ease the financial burden they have in nursing school.”
The last ticket drawn in the reverse raffle was RN student Chory O’Neill’s ticket and she won the Grand Prize, a stay-cation donated by Oasis Inn & Suites, dinner for two donated by Kitchen in The Desert and a local’s gift basket donated by Shantel Shaut, Coldwell Banker Realtor.
Nursing students made one of a kind centerpieces for the tables which were then sold to raise more money! RN student Caroline Salapare’s wine waterfall centerpiece won People’s Choice at the event.
