CMC, located in Joshua Tree, CA, may be the smallest of all 115 California Community Colleges but it is also the one with the most heart! Established in 2001, CMC launched its Athletic Program with men’s and women’s basketball in 2017.

Needing a mascot, the community voted on the Fighting Cacti, and Spike was born. Now three years later, you can stick with us and earn your first Spike Medal all while benefiting Copper Mountain College students.

Anyone can run or walk a virtual race from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. And your medal will be shipped directly to you.

Fighting Cacti Virtual Race runs January 1-31, 2020 and is limited to 200 Runners! A portion of the $25 registration fee benefits CMC students. Register online at CMC Fighting Cacti.
