You will train to support elderly individuals, those recovering from illness, and individuals with disabilities. Home Health Aides are in high demand from licensed home care agencies and hospice agencies to provide basic nursing care in private homes and health facilities or hospice programs under the supervision of Registered Nurses.
Prerequisite: Current California Nurse Assistant Certification or proof of a passing grade on both theory and skills components of certification testing. After completing the Nurse Assistant certificate of proficiency, continue and become a Home Health Aide. You will complete an additional 54 hours of training that includes lecture and skills practice. You will learn:
