On June 24, 2024, Copper Mountain College Foundation installed their Board of Directors and Officers for 2024-2025 including President Renee Anderson, Vice President Brandon Burdett, Secretary Kristie Mitchell, and Treasurer Kristina Suydam.
Renewing board members Karen Coghill and Kevin Cosgriff joined new board members Diane Durden and Graciela Di Giovanna; continuing service on the Foundation Board is Ron Sears and John Zaccaria. Representing Copper Mountain Community College District on the Foundation Board is Jim Brakebill, Dr. Jerald Garber, Victoria Moore, Ariana Muniz, Dr. Daren Otten and Meredith Plummer.
The Foundation Board is tasked with oversight of the fundraising arm of Copper Mountain College. As a 501c3 nonprofit, an independent Board of Directors works to maximize the educational opportunities for students in the Morongo Basin raising money and allocating resources to support students, programs and the facilities of Copper Mountain College. This past year, CMC Foundation provided $344,858.77 in scholarships to local college students as well as support for basic needs of food, transportation, books and supplies.
