Hugging the Cactus 2024 – A Conference on Trauma Informed Education & Ethics

Hugging the Cactus 2024 is A Conference on Trauma Informed Education & Ethics in an Era of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.  The conference is an all day event, beginning with a kickoff breakfast with keynote speaker Franko Heke, at 8:30 a.m.  Heke is a New Zealand musician, Pacific soul warrior, and yoga teacher, who will be speaking via Zoom.  There is a $20 charge for the breakfast keynote session that includes breakfast.

The conference sessions from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., are free, as well as the Artistic Alchemy: Emotional Transformation Through Art art exhibit opening at 4 p.m., and Sacred Fire with Joshua Tree Ecstatic Dance, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

All events will be held on the CMC campus.
