WILLIAM E. DOYLE is a Professor of Music at El Camino College and the music director of the Ars Nova Sinfonia and Vienna Honor Orchestra. After being on the faculty at the University of Rhode Island for five years, he moved to California to work on his doctorate and to teach at the University of Southern California. He completed his doctorate in Music Education with a specialization in Conducting and was the Assistant Conductor of both the U.S.C. Wind Ensemble and the Pasadena Young Musician’s Orchestra. The author of six books on music, Dr. Doyle is a specialist in music history and music of world cultures.

Dr. Doyle has been teaching at CMC since 2004 and is on the faculty at El Camino College.  He has taught Online Music classes since 1997 and is a specialist in Music Appreciation, Music History, and World Music.  He is also the director of the Ars Nova Sinfonia, has toured Europe 4 times with the orchestra, performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall (LA) and the Orange County Performing Arts Center in 2010 with Hawaiian Grammy nominee Keali’i Reichel.  In 2009, he also toured Austria and Italy with 5-time Grammy winner Daniel Ho, and performed in LA with him in March and in April of 2010.
