Steven Wybenga, an incredible local artist and current intermediate painting student at CMC, will give an artist talk on surviving the AIDs crisis, working as a hospice nurse, and using his artistic practice as a way to navigate the world with hope. Copper Mountain College art professor Chloe Allred will share work from her studio and give a talk on how art can be a means of processing grief.
Professors from CMC’s Death and Dying course will host a Day of the Dead-themed open mic where students and members of the community can share their stories. The CMC Culinary program with culinary professor Dereck LaGuardia will be showing off their skills and creating light bites.
Come celebrate the last weekend of the Art Tours with the CMC community.
