Copper Mountain College held its Accreditation Celebration on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Sky’s the Limit Observatory in Twentynine Palms. Sky’s the Limit Observatory hosts the Copper Mountain College Astronomy Program as a “satellite” campus for CMC.

College faculty, administrators, staff, trustees, and supporters gathered to celebrate its recently announced eight-year accreditation and commendation on a beautiful summer evening at the observatory. Cocktails and light refreshments were provided by the Copper Mountain College Foundation. Attendees were treated to thunderstorm activity to the east and time with several telescopes to explore the desert night sky.
