Password Reset & SSPR Help
1) Notice for Returning Students
Did you stop attending in the last two semesters? You’ll need to reapply to reactivate your account.
Processing usually takes about two business days.

2) Set Up Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)
To manage your password independently, enroll in Microsoft SSPR.
Enroll in SSPR Reset Password Now
- Already enrolled? Use Reset Password Now.
- Not enrolled but know your current password? Use Enroll in SSPR to enable self-service in the future.
- Not enrolled and don’t know your password? Skip to Step 4.
3) How to Reset Your Password
Students must use the Microsoft SSPR portal.
After entering your CMCCD email address in the DUO SSO login screen and clicking Next, look in the bottom left for the “Need help?” link. Clicking this will open two options for password reset:
- Option 1: Reset password (requires you to know your current password).
- Option 2: Forgot password (requires enrollment in Microsoft SSPR).
If you are not enrolled in Microsoft SSPR and cannot reset your password, please email servicedesk@cmccd.edu for assistance.

Step 1: Enter your CMCCD email address and complete the CAPTCHA verification.

Step 2: Choose a verification method (phone or email) to receive a reset code.

Step 3: Enter the code and set a new password.

Step 4: Your password has been reset! Return to the CMC login page and sign in with your new password.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM. Requests are usually processed within ~2 hours during business hours. After 3:30 PM, requests are processed the next business day. (Hours may change during holidays and summer.)

- CMC Email Address
