Copper Mountain College will host its 2026 Institutional Learning Outcomes (ILO) Conference, “AI and Community: Co-Creating Our Future,” on Saturday, May 9, 2026, bringing together students, faculty, and community members to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence in our daily lives. The conference will begin at 9 A.M. in Copper Mountain College’s Bell Center with a keynote address by Cheryl Strauss Einhorn of the SC Johnson School of Business at Cornell University.  Programming will continue throughout the day, with a variety of sessions, activities, and experiences offered from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

The entire Morongo Basin community and beyond are invited to this dynamic, day-long conference to examine how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping teaching and learning, career pathways, relationships, and the broader human experience. Through a mix of discussions, interactive sessions, and creative activities, attendees will engage with critical questions surrounding technology, ethics, and the future of innovation.

Designed to be both thought-provoking and joyful, the conference will feature:

• Conversations and discussions on AI, ethics, and the future
• Interactive spaces for creativity, reflection, and community connection
• Art displays and imaginative experiences celebrating human expression
• Storytelling gatherings and opportunities to unplug and engage
• Lighthearted elements such as cosplay and creative play
