Ten students at Copper Mountain College selected for an All-Expense Paid University Trip

Copper Mountain College Transfer Center in coordination with Stepping in the Right Direction, is giving an opportunity of a lifetime to ten students, an all-expense paid trip to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). The college campus tours include: Clark Atlanta University, Grambling State University, Jackson State University, Morehouse College, Paul Quinn College, Southern University, Shreveport, Spelman College & Tuskegee University.

Students will see campus life including: clubs, collegiate sports teams, intramural sports teams, sororities, fraternities, dormitories and other housing. The tour is made up of small to large campus populations, along with private and public institutions. During the tour, students will have the opportunity to meet with campus administrators, faculty and staff and may be offered admission and scholarships on the spot. The trip also includes cultural excursions to educate students on Black history and cultural identity that HBCUs continue to uphold.

A CMC committee carefully reviewed many student applications that had to meet specific criteria, as well as examined a brief questionnaire on each student’s educational goals. Please join Copper Mountain College in congratulating the ten selected students that will participate in this Historically Black Colleges and Universities tour in March!
