Morongo Unified School District (MUSD) and Copper Mountain Community College District (CMCCD) is pleased to invite the community to the Grand Opening of the Academy for College and Career Excellence (AC2E) (formerly Monument High School) at 72770 Hatch Road, Twentynine Palms on May 1, 2017 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Dr. David W. Norton, CMCCD’s Vice President of Academic and Student Success, points-out that “this is the culmination of a yearlong collaboration on this project, and the new AC2E facility will serve as an educational pathway between our Districts. This is a tremendous benefit for the residents of Morongo Basin.”
MUSD and CMCCD are proud to introduce the newly renovated facility for CMC’s Adult Education Programs which include GED Preparation, High School Completion, math/English Refresher, English as a Second Language, Military Academic Skills Program, tutoring, and test proctoring. All these classes are FREE, work-at-your-own-pace programs for all area residents over the age of 18.
Antoaneta Bonev, Coordinator of Adult Education at CMCCD shared, “because of this facility and the additional space for these programs, CMC, for the first time, will be offering face-to-face GED preparation classes.
