Copper Mountain College Foundation is proud to announce the 2021 Howl Kick-off event June 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Oasis Inn & Suites 29 Palms located at 71809 Twentynine Palms Highway, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277. The event is free and open to the public. A full menu is available at the hotel’s restaurant; complimentary soft drinks will be served.
Often the college experience takes place outside the classroom; as an example, the Howl literary magazine was established in 1996 to provide an opportunity for students to publish their works. Since then it has launched many an authors’ career. Students and community members alike are welcome to submit an original work for the 2021 book. Submission forms will be available at the kick-off event, however the editorial team is currently accepting poetry, short fiction, photography, and digital images of artwork for its 2021 edition online at https://www.cmccd.edu/current-students/student-publications/. The submission deadline is September 15, 2021.
