Remedial Investigation at Cadiz Lake Sonic Target No. 9 Formerly Used Defense Site

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will conduct a public meeting (in-person and virtual) to present information on the upcoming Remedial Investigation (RI) at the Cadiz Lake Sonic Target No. 9 Munitions Response Site (MRS). The site is a Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) located in San Bernardino County, California. The site was used between 1946 and 1948 for military practice bombing.
The purpose of the RI at the MRS is to define the horizontal and vertical extent of the area impacted by munitions and any munitions constituents (MC) contamination. Results of the RI will support the identification of potential explosive risks at the site. USACE representatives will attend the meeting to provide information on the upcoming investigation and answer any questions the public may have.
