College kicks off pre-semester fun for new students

Copper Mountain College will host its annual College kickoff celebration for incoming students on Friday, August 17, 2018 beginning with registration in the Bell Center Gymnasium at 10:00 AM.

CMC’s Fall Kickoff is a convocation style event designed to welcome new students to campus. Students will kick-off their day with a visit from President/Superintendent, Jeff Cummings, staff and current students, as well as a special guest appearance by the CMC mascot “Spike,” the Fighting Cacti.

Students will have a chance to meet professors and familiarize themselves with the campus using a “new student passport.” In addition, students will have the opportunity to speak with college staff members regarding special programs and resources available to them. A barbeque lunch will be catered by Bruce’s Place followed by music, games, prizes, and more!
