Copper Mountain College students and the CMC Transfer Center toured California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) and the University of Redlands in April, 2016.
The day started off at 8:45 am as we departed from CMC and headed toward CSUSB for our first tour. After an hour tour of CSUSB, we ate lunch in the Student Union. Then, we hopped back on the bus to head to the University of Redlands for a tour and Admissions presentation.
Both campuses are beautiful and have many great things to offer. Students learned some of the differences between a public, state university and a private University. The cost of tuition is among these differences and students learned about merit and need-based scholarships available to transfer students. Many private universities offer similar types of scholarships to make them more affordable transfer options.
Touring prospective transfer institutions is vital to transfer planning. We plan to offer a variety of university tours for students to take advantage of in the future.
