CMC Foundation Supporting Students

Transportation is often a huge barrier when attending college. Copper Mountain College Foundation (Foundation) is working to break down that barrier for the nearly 2,000 students at Copper Mountain College (CMC). The Foundation does this by subsidizing bus rides for CMC students through Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA).

This Summer the Foundation in partnership with MBTA is excited to announce FREE BUS RIDES for current CMC students from June 11 to July 11 and August 20 to September 15, 2018, with a valid student ID. The campaign is sponsored by the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority with grant funding from the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program. The objective is to educate more people about what transit has to offer them and give them the opportunity to experience MBTA risk free.

“Despite the costs that are often required to attend college, higher education is still one of the best investments that students and their families can make, which is why Copper Mountain College Foundation remains committed to breaking down this particular barrier and promoting access to CMC for everyone in the Morongo Basin,” states Sandy Smith, CMCF Executive Director.
