The Art Program at Copper Mountain College (CMC) is thrilled to announce its first campus Experimental Art Exhibition.
The outdoor artworks of ten Palm Springs Art Museum Artists Council members are featured during the months of April and May. Each of the unique outdoor works is a site-specific installation, with artists responding to selected campus locations through varied methods and media. Bells, birds, inspiring words, slabs of slate, rye seeds, and dancing figures, make this show a visual delight and conceptually engaging, while strolling across CMC’s beautiful desert campus. The public is invited to view the works any time the College campus is open..”
Artists participating in the Artists Council Experimental Exhibition (ACEE) are Tammy Ashworth, Cathy Allen, Zach Fleming, Carole Hatcher, Melissae Lucia, Mike McLain, Jen Richards, Esther Shaw, Maryann Sutherland, and Ingrid Von Sydow.
A reception for the artists will be held at Bruce’s Place, on the campus, April 8, 2017 from 3 to 6 pm, and will feature CMC Art students hosting guided tours and refreshments. The reception is FREE and open to the public. This event is supported by the Cultural Education Committee and the CMC Foundation.
