The Workforce Development Center (WDC) provides comprehensive service at no cost to the students of Copper Mountain College (CMC), and the Joshua Basin community. The WDC is a One-Stop Center with a variety of academic and community services and resources. WDC staff assists with academic skills, vocational book loans, employment services, and transfer needs. The staff can also help set up a free e-mail account for those who do not have one. If requested, people in need of specialized services may be referred to other public agencies in the community.
The WDC offers the use of computers with Office XP to assist with reports, spreadsheets, Internet research, and e-mail. Several programs that relate directly to CMC classes are pre-loaded on the computers. Tutors in a variety of subjects including Math, English, and Spanish are available during limited hours. Please contact the WDC for specific times. Computerized tutoring is also available in almost every subject offered, including Language of Medicine, Astronomy, and Spanish.
