Student Success Center

All programs in the Student Success Center (SSC) are in  Room 636 in the Bell Center and are FREE. Students who wish to earn their High School Diploma, prepare for the GED, refresh their basic math and/or English skills, get computerized or one-on-one peer tutoring in some college subjects are welcome to enroll in the SSC. 

To take advantage of our instruction and self-paced practice  you need to complete the application for enrollment at Copper Mountain College by visiting www.cccapply.org,  and attend an SSC orientation.  You may need to take a diagnostic test to pinpoint weak areas.  You need not be computer literate: our friendly staff will teach you all need to know to take advantage of this learning experience.  The office is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:00a.m.-8:50p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is closed for lunch every day between 1:00-2:00 p.m.  Summer hours starting on June 13, 2011- July 13, 2011 will be Monday and Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 8:50 p.m. and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

1. Apply for admissions using an online application at www.cccapply.org.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the link entitled "Begin Application for Copper Mountain College" - you must enter your 9 digit # in the SSN blank.

3. Click the link "New User"

4. Begin filling out all of the fields of the form: then click the big button at the bottom that says, "Create My Account" continue completing the online application.

5. Once the application is completed, please print out the confirmation page. You will need to bring this with you in order to attend an orientation (See dates/times).

6. If you are using CCCApply on a campus computer, please understand that it will take about 24 hours to appear in the Admissions & Records computer system.

STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER ORIENTATION DATES FOR SPRING 2011

If you are a new SSC student, you must attend one SSC orientation before you can sign up for High School Completion, GED Preparation, or Refresher classes:

For Spring until April 26, 2011

Mondays at 6:00 p.m. and Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.

For Summer

Tuesdays: June 14, 2011 and June 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.

All students under the age of 18 must meet with the Developmental Education Coordinator BEFORE signing up for an orientation.  Contact the SSC Program Assistant at 760 366-3791 extension 5982.
