Office of Research & Grants

The Office of Research and Grants (OR&G) provides data and analytical support for CMC's strategic planning process.  

              * The OR&G provides data for the Master Plan on the College as a whole in internal and external scans (Environmental Scans), Fact Books, Institutional Effectiveness Reports, Equity Data Reports, and Quantitative Data for Program Review, covering the campus, the community, and the workforce, with department specific data provided in each planning data form.

            * Departments/divisions working on strategic planning will have support from the OR&G.  Each academic division will be provided with a standardized data set (Quantitative Data - Key Performance Indicators for Program Review) by the OR&G in addition to the environmental scan data (Fact Books, Institutional Effectiveness Reports, Equity Data Reports)

              * At CMC, student learning is the primary focus.  Outcomes assessment occurs at the course-, program- and the College-levels with the intent to determine the effectiveness of the programs and provide opportunities to continuously improve student learning.

Grant Process Information

          * The Office of Research and Grants serves members of CMC by supporting those who are seeking external funding for special academic programs, professional development, curriculum development, research, community projects and outside collaboration.  Services offered include: search for potential funding sources and obtain application information and materials with specific content provided, writing of draft and final proposals with Principal Investigator or writing team, advice and assistance regarding sufficient timing and planning to obtain final approval signatures and documents guidance, information and contacts for budget development, campus collaboration, facilities, etc. for project planning.  We urge you to communicate with us early to ensure a smooth process!
