Fall 2010 Nursing Assistant Program Pinning Ceremony

JOSHUA TREE, CA – Copper Mountain College will pin graduates of the Fall 2010 Nursing Assistant Program during a ceremony on November 8th at 2:00 p.m. in Bruce’s Coyote Kitchen on campus.
Copper Mountain College offers the Nursing Assistant Program each semester. The Program prepares men and women to assist with the routine care and treatment of patients in long-term care facilities and hospitals. Certified Nursing Assistants work under the direction of the nursing and medical staff. Activities of the Certified Nursing Assistant include providing personal care, maintaining safety and assisting with activities of daily living.
The course of study includes 72 hours of classroom instruction and a minimum of 100 hours of clinical instruction in long-term care facilities. The students who have successfully completed the Program are eligible to take the State-approved exams that lead to certification as a Nursing Assistant.
The event is open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend.
