    CMC Foundation Hosts Roy Greenleaf, Jr. Education Fund Scholarship Awards Ceremony

    JOSHUA TREE, Ca– The Copper Mountain College Foundation will hold its annual Roy Greenleaf, Jr. Education Fund Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 3, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. in Bruce's Coyote Kitchen on the CMC campus and the public is invited to attend.

    The ceremony will present this year's finalists to the community and will announce the winner who will be the next in line to carry the title of "Greenleaf Scholar." 

    The late Roy Greenleaf, Jr. defined the Greenleaf Scholar as a graduating Morongo Basin high school student that has demonstrated a strong determination to succeed, an abiding desire to help others in their school, family and community, financial need, and an interest in serving the Morongo Basin upon completion of their education. The Greenleaf Scholarship pays for tuition, books, fees and standard living expenses for two years at Copper Mountain College, two years at a 4-year UC or CSU institution within California and, with approval and available funding, further graduate study.
