Before joining CMC Dr. Wagner held the positions of Dean of Technical Education and Business/Community Relations from 2005-2007 and Associate Dean of Instruction at Crowder College from 2000-2005, while also serving as their Director of Customized training from 2000-2004.      “I have been truly blessed over the years to have worked in organizations where I could hold my head high and speak with pride about where I worked” said Dr. Wagner.  “Today I have been honored to have been chosen by the Board of Trustees to be Copper Mountain College’s next President and I hold my head high today and say with a great deal of pride that it is a wonderful feeling to be part of the CMC family.”

“The BOT unanimously selected Dr. Wagner as the next (third) Superintendent/President of Copper Mountain College,” said Philip Fultz, Copper Mountain Community College Board President. “The Board believes that Dr. Wagner will provide the necessary leadership to take our College into its next twenty-five years.”

In the recruitment process for a new Superintendent/President, the CMCCD Board of Trustees was assisted by a search committee representing all constituent groups on campus including faculty, staff, students, and a member of the community.
