Certified Nursing Assistants Pinning

JOSHUA TREE, Ca –Copper Mountain College will pin 14 Certified Nursing Assistants during a ceremony on April 27th at 2:00 p.m. in Bruce’s Coyote Kitchen on campus.
The Nursing Assistant program prepares men and women to assist with the routine care and treatment of patients in long-term care facilities and hospitals and is offered in the spring and fall semesters. Certified Nursing Assistants work under the direction of the nursing and medical staff providing personal care, maintaining safety and assisting with activities of daily living.
The course of study includes 72 hours of classroom instruction and a minimum of 100 hours of clinical instruction in long-term care facilities. Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to take the State-approved exams that lead to certification as a Nursing Assistant.
The event is open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend.
