CMC to Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month.

    October 10, 2013

Copper Mountain College will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with the lively sounds of Machin (Ma-cheen), featuring front man David Macias on guitar and vocals, Bri Cherry on violin, and Andy Gorrill on Upright Bass.  Machin’s style is self-labeled “Spanglish Jive” a bilingual contemporary blend of Latin, Gypsy, Ska, Salsa and dance music.  The trio will be discussing traditional links to the music, as well as playing.

Listening enjoyment is guaranteed during this brown bag concert event on October 17th, from 12-1pm. at the Bell Center Community Room. The event is free and open to the public. The event will be hosted by the CMC Foundation and the Cultural Education Enhancement Committee.  For more information contact C. Allen at 760-366-3791 ext. 0600.
