    April 22, 2013

Copper Mountain Community College presents its 3rd Annual Student Art Show beginning May 1 and running through May 14, 2013.  This event is FREE and open to the public.

Stop by the Bell Center foyer and see students’ featured art works which include drawings, paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, and mixed media art, created by fresh young talent.  The hours for viewing are Monday through Friday from 12-5 p.m.

Next, on Friday May 10th, join us for the Student Art Show reception, in the Bell Center Foyer from 3-6 p.m., where you can meet the artists, enjoy tasty refreshments, and purchase artworks.  Cathy Allen, art instructor says, “It’s been an exciting year here - the Art Program is in the process of being redesigned. I think the work in this show reflects the beginning of something grand for these hard-working, talented students.”

Following the reception you can head over to have more fun with the Alumni BBQ and music by the Sibley’s rock band, hosted by the CMC Foundation that begins at 5 p.m.

Let all your senses be delighted and experience pure visual delight with the student art show, get your taste buds flowing with free tasty food and let your ears enjoy the sounds of lively desert tunes. For more information call 760-366-3791 or contact Cathy Allan callen@cmccd.edu.
