Copper Mountain College Foundation Announces a Call for 2013 Greenleaf Scholarship Applicants.

    February 14, 2013

Copper Mountain College Foundation encourages all graduating seniors in the Morongo Basin to apply for the prestigious 2013 Greenleaf Scholarship.  The deadline for submission is 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013.  For more information or to obtain an application, visit your high school counseling office or our website at
All tuition, fees, and living expenses are paid from the Greenleaf Education Fund, administered by Copper Mountain College Foundation.  It is the hope of Mr. Greenleaf that the recipient of the scholarship will return to serve their community upon completion of their degree.
The F. Roy Greenleaf, Jr. Education Fund was established by the estate of F. Roy Greenleaf, Jr.  Mr. Greenleaf came to the Morongo Basin in the 1970s and started a community bank.  His arrival coincided with the beginning of fundraising for the building of what has become Copper Mountain College and he became a major donor to the CMC Foundation.  The college’s library is named in his honor.  Greenleaf developed a close relationship with Friends of Copper Mountain College, the college’s original fundraising arm, and made trust arrangements for his estate to be transferred to the Foundation after the death of his wife Beverlie.  Roy Greenleaf died in 1996, his wife in 2000.  The Greenleaf Education Fund requires that recipients begin their education at Copper Mountain College.  They may then pursue baccalaureate degrees at campuses of their choice within the University of California and California State University systems.
                                                                  Take the next step!
