Copper Mountain College Financial Aid Ranks Fourth

    November 28, 2012

In a recent three year study of data from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office of over 100 schools Copper Mountain College was ranked fourth among the highest financial aid benefits received per enrolled student. On average a financial aid student will receive $1,712.66 per semester here at CMC, which represents nearly twice the average of all California Community Colleges.   (To view the rankings go to  data provided by Nerdwallet.)

Copper Mountain College processes federal, state, and institutional aid for students who meet the eligibility requirements for the specific programs.  The Financial Aid Office staff encourages students to apply for state and federal aid for which they may be eligible by filing the free on-line application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Students are also encouraged to apply for as many institutional and outside scholarships as possible.  The perspective of Brian Heinemann, the Director of Financial Aid at CMC is, “every student can afford to go to college”.
