CALL 9-1-1

 

  • State: "This is an emergency"

  • REMAIN CALM and give your name, location (building, room number), nature of emergency and phone number you are calling from

  • DO NOT HANG UP unless there is no further information being required or unless there is an immediate threat to your safety

  • Call Security AFTER you call 9-1-1

WHAT TO DO WHILE WAITING FOR HELP TO ARRIVE:

  • DO NOT move the person unless absolutely necessary or there is a threat to his or your safety.

  • Stop any bleeding by applying firm pressure on the wound.

  • Restore breathing by opening the person's air passage and performing rescue breathing and CPR , if qualified to do so.

  • Keep the person warm, quiet and comfortable.

  • Stay with the person until help arrives.
