The Foundation administers the F. Roy and Beverlie Greenleaf Education Fund, through which a local high school senior is selected each year to receive a full college education scholarship (tuition, fees, and living expenses) that continues throughout the scholar's education at Copper Mountain College and later undergraduate studies elsewhere.
The Greenleaf Scholarship was established in 1982 by the late F. Roy Greenleaf, Jr., a local banker and benefactor who gave his entire estate to the Foundation to help local, needy and deserving students achieve their educational goals. He wanted to assist students who possessed a strong determination to succeed as well as demonstrated a desire to help others in school, family and the community.
Applications are submitted annually through each of the local high schools, and a recipient is named by late April. Applications for graduates to apply for the Greenleaf Scholarship will be available from high school counselors in February.
