    How to Apply

    1.  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) code: 035424

    a. Student needs a Personal Identification Number (PIN) --

    • Student's official name

    • Student's Social Security number

    • Birth date

    b. Parent who signs the FAFSA also needs a PIN if the student is dependent

    2.  Printable Documents Verification such as Federal Tax Return, W-2s, proof of untaxed income and benefits

    When to Apply

    1. Earliest date to apply is January 1st

    2. March 2nd deadline for California grants

    3. Early Action is needed for early award letters

    What type of Financial Aid is Available with the FAFSA?

    1.  Federal Pell grant

    2.  Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

    3.  Federal Work Study

    4.  Federal Stafford Loan

    5.  State Cal Grants B&C - Create An Account

    6. State Board of Governor's (BOG) tuition waiver

    7. California Dream Act Student (Undocumented Students)

    You are a Dream Act Student (AB540 eligible) if you meet all of the following criteria: 

    • Attended a California high school for at least three years
    • Graduated from a California high school, got a GED or passed the California High School Proficiency Exam;
    • Are registered or enrolled at a California community college


    • Complete an affidavit saying you have filed (or will file when you are eligible to do so) for legal immigration status

    How do I remain eligible for Financial Aid?

    1. Keep 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average

    2. Pass 67% of classes enrolled in at census

    3. Complete degree with in 150% needed credits (90 for A.A.)
