How to Apply

1.  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) code: 035424

a. Student needs a Personal Identification Number (PIN) -- www.pin.ed.gov

• Student's official name

• Student's Social Security number

• Birth date

b. Parent who signs the FAFSA also needs a PIN if the student is dependent

2.  Printable Documents Verification such as Federal Tax Return, W-2's, proof of untaxed income and benefits

When to Apply

1. Earliest date to apply is January 1st
   

2. March 2nd deadline for California grants

3. Early Action is needed for early award letters

What type of Financial Aid is Available with the FAFSA?

1.  Federal Pell grant

2.  Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

3.  Federal Work Study

4.  Federal Stafford Loan

5.  State Cal Grants B&C - Create An Account

• California Dream Act -- Undocumented Students who have attended a California High School for at least 3 years (called AB-540 students) are eligible for Board Of Governors’ Waivers starting January 1, 2013, and CalGrants beginning the Fall term of 2013.  For 2012-2013 applications click here.

How do I remain eligible for Financial Aid?

1. Keep 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average

2. Pass 67% of classes enrolled in at census

3. Complete degree with in 150% needed credits (90 for A.A.)
