Facts about Accommodations and Services

Students with disabilities are responsible to initiate requests for specific accommodations each semester. These requests will be directed to the instructor through the Faculty Notification Letter or DSPS staff. You will need to determine if the services approved are appropriate for your educational limitation. You may request adjustments as needed. These services ensure your access to a level playing field, so all students regardless of their disability may pursue their college goals. You are responsible for your personal success.

Students participating in DSPS adhere to the same academic standards of any other college student.

Educational accommodations for disabilities are not special privileges but an individual's right under the law.
