Base Programs

Copper Mountain College (CMC) offers a variety of college credit classes through its Base Programs Office, in a cooperative partnership with the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center MCAGCC) in Twentynine Palms, California. CMC classes are taught at various locations throughout the Combat Center (Base) making it easy for our active duty personnel and other students to attend class.

CMC's Base Programs Office is located in Building 1526 on the Base. Services available to students include: assessment testing, financial aid, information, counseling/academic advising, and course registration. Textbooks required for Base Programs courses are available for purchase at the Base Programs Office during bookstore hours only. Students may access Internet resources through a dedicated computer at the Base Programs Office, provided by CMC's Greenleaf Library. A computer lab is also available!

Please Note: A pass is required to get onto the Twentynine Palms Marine Base facility. Please download and refer to this document, Installation Access Pass, for instructions on how to obtain the pass.

Full or Closed Classes

 

When a course reaches its maximum capacity, students cannot be added to the course. Maximum capacities for classroom courses are based on the maximum fire code capacity per each room where the course will be taught. Maximum capacities for online courses are based on faculty contracts and cannot be adjusted. Students who find that desired courses are closed are encouraged to check the Schedule of Classes to select an alternative section of those courses.
