Assessment and Planning

    In addition to its institutional research duties and functions, the Research Office conducts planning and assessment activities for the College.

    CMC employs a five-pronged approach to understanding its effectiveness:

          * A distributed planning process that guides division plans and is assessed through key performance indicators;

        * An annual report process linking progress on divisional goals with Strategic Directions;

         *A system accountability report submitted annually to CCCCO aligned to division goals;

         *A systematic process to assess student learning outcomes at  the College, program and course levels; and

         *An annual  program review process.

    At CMC, student learning is the primary focus. Outcomes assessment occurs at the program- and the College-levels with the intent to determine the effectiveness of the programs and provide opportunities to continuously improve student learning.
