    COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE AS WELL AS ALL COMMUNITY COLLEGES MUST ADHERE

    TO STRICT GUIDELINES TO CONTINUE ITS ACCREDITATION.

    Accreditation is a voluntary system of self regulation developed to evaluate overall educational quality and institutional effectiveness.


    "The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) accreditation process provides assurance to the public that the accredited member colleges meet the Standards; the education earned at the institutions is of value to the student who earned it; and employers, trade or profession-related licensing agencies, and other colleges and universities can accept a student’s credential as legitimate" .

    Dr. Glenn Roquemore has been President of Irvine Valley College since 2002. His academic preparation includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Geology and Geophysics, from the University of Nevada, a Master and Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from California State University at Fresno.  Dr. Roquemore has served on multiple accreditation teams, including chairing, multiple team visits, and serving as lead chair for a multi-college visit.

    Dr. Eva Bagg has been the Associate Dean of Institutional Effectiveness at Long Beach City College since 2008.  She has served as Accreditation Liaison Officer at Barstow Community College and is currently the ALO at Long Beach.  Dr. Bagg has been a researcher in the California Community Colleges for over a decade. She holds her doctorate in Anthropology from the University of California, San Diego.
    Dr_Timothy_Brown Dr. Timothy Brown received his Doctorate from Pepperdine University in 1997. He holds two Masters Degrees, one in reading and language arts from California State University, Fullerton and the other in physical education from University of Texas Pan American (formerly Pan American University). He graduated from Arizona State University with a major in physical education and a minor in reading education.  Dr. Brown currently holds the academic rank of Full Professor at Riverside City College and has been a faculty member since 1984.
    Abraham_Farkas__Esq Mr. Abraham Farkas, Esq. has served from June 2007 to the present as the Dean of Curriculum and Educational Support Services at Santa Rosa Junior College.  His college related work began in the Los Angeles Community College District as Principal Accountant first in Payroll and subsequently in General Accounting.  Mr. Farkas, Esq. earned his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School and his Bachelor’s Degree from Brooklyn College.
    Dr_Fontanilla Dr. Linda Fontanilla currently holds the position of Vice President for Student Services at Irvine Valley College in Irvine, CA. She is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the Viet Nam War. During her tour of duty she worked as an Air Traffic Controller until her honorable discharge. Dr. Fontanilla graduated from the University of LaVerne with her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership, 
    Virginia_May Ms. Virginia May is a professor of Mathematics and Statistics at Sacramento City College in the Los Rios Community College District.  Currently, she is the Academic Senate President and the Faculty Tri-Chair for the college’s Accreditation Organizing Committee.  She began her career at SCC as an adjunct professor in 1994 and assumed her current fulltime position in 1997. In addition, Ginni is one of the 19 Commissioners on the Accreditation Commission for Community and Junior Colleges.
    Dr_Kimberlee_Messina Dr. Kimberlee Messina is the Vice President of Instruction and Institutional Research at Foothill College. Dr. Messina earned her BA in Sociology and her MA in Spanish at CSU Sacramento. She was advanced to candidacy in the Ph.D program in Hispanic Languages and Literature at UC Berkeley, and completed her Ed.D in Educational Leadership at UC Davis.
    Jim_Riggs Dr. Jim Riggs is a professor in the Department of Advanced Studies in Education at CSU Stanislaus, where he teaches full-time in the university’s Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership.  He is currently on a one-year leave of absence from CSU Stanislaus, and is serving as the Interim Superintendent/President at Glendale Community College.  Jim has a doctorate degree from the University of Southern California, and holds masters and bachelor’s degrees in music.

    Dr. Marcia Roberts-Deutsch was recently appointed Dean of University College (the Liberal Arts program at Honolulu Community College) after having served in that position in an interim capacity since July 2012.  She earned her B.A. cum laude from Harvard University, an M.F.A. in Fine Arts at Stanford University, and recently completed her Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa.
    Doug_Roberts Mr. Doug Roberts is the Vice President of Business Services at Santa Rosa Junior College.  He has been a licensed CPA since 1993 with nineteen years in the California community college system.
